Austin, TX is home to many fun attractions. Along with Austin’s beautiful scenery, Austin is known its shopping, art galleries, and downtown restaurants. Although Austin is perfect for shopping and eating, most of Austin is pretty expensive. However, there are cheap options in Austin. Here are the top 3 cheap activities to do while visiting Austin, TX.

1.  Graffiti Park

Austin’s graffiti park is not just cheap, it’s free. For anyone interested in art, Austin culture, or engaging, friendly people, be sure to visit the graffiti park. You will see thousands of art pieces from people who have traveled from all over the country. You can also get a bottle of spray paint and put your own unique touch on a piece of this park. The graffiti park will soon be demolished and relocated, so be sure to visit the original park before it’s gone!

2. Swim in Barton Springs Pool

During the summer months, Barton Springs Pool is an ideal location to cool off. Daily entry is $5 for Austin residents and $9 for non-residents. Barton Springs Pool maintains a year round temperature of 68-70 degrees. So, if you’re looking for a cheap outdoor summer activity, this is a great option.

3. Hike or Bike Butler Trail

Butler Trail overlooks the Colorado River. There is a 10 mile trail that is perfect for biking, walking, jogging, or roller skating. The trail, which winds its way through the heart of Austin, is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. This trail offers beautiful views of the city and is perfect for a year round outdoor activity.
